MORE THAN 500 TO CELEBRATE EASTER TOGETHER
Many Churches, One Easter Sunrise Celebration
Easter Together, the community sunrise service in San Clemente, has gathered thousands of believers to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ since the mid-1990’s. Originally started at San Gorgonio Park, it has now become an annual tradition and one of the longest running community sunrise services in South Orange County. Each year local pastors share the responsibilities and costs of hosting the annual event.
One of the first recorded Easter Sunrise Services in the United States was led by Frank Miller at Mt. Rubidoux (Riverside, CA) in 1908. Since then, millions of Christian followers have celebrated the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ in Sunrise Services across America. Easter Together is a community event reflecting the diverse groups of people that make San Clemente such a great place to live. Easter Together continues to draw over 500 Christians from South Orange County Churches. This year’s participating churches include Heritage Christian Fellowship, Cornerstone Community Church, Southcoast Church International and Calvary Chapel San Clemente.
Ron Sukut, Cornerstone Community Church
“The city wide church in San Clemente has been celebrating Easter as the sun rises for many years and it has become a cherished tradition.”
Roger Gales, Heritage Christian Fellowship
“Easter Together is a united celebration of Jesus. Our sunrise service overflows with joy because of what Jesus has done for us.”
Holland Davis, Calvary Chapel San Clemente
“What I love about Easter Together is seeing churches from different backgrounds joining together as a demonstration of love and unity. It’s an example for churches in other cities to follow.
Easter Together is being held March 27, 6:30 am at the Vista Hermosa Sports Park located at 987 Avenida Vista Hermosa, San Clemente, CA. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and to dress warm. For more information visit eastertogether.com.
